The Development Intern will be responsible for supporting the Development and structured finance teams in providing financial modeling, deal underwriting and analysis, market research, transaction due diligence, and approval memoranda for development and acquisitions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn and experience the real estate development business.

What you’ll do:
Conducts long term market research, and rent studies
Performs financial analysis
Assists with due diligence
Writes memoranda
Produces reports, including cash flow projections, excel modeling, and associated sensitivity analyses
Prepare development pro forma and perform financial feasibility and sensitivity analysis
Works closely with NY Development team members
Attend meetings with architects, sellers, brokers, site visits, etc.
Create and maintain routine and ad hoc reporting
Assist with closings
What you’ll bring
Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Architecture, Real Estate, Finance, Computer Science, or Business with a strong record of academic achievement
Familiarity with ESRI
General understanding of real estate and development industry
Strong Excel skills and financial modeling experience
General understanding of financial statement.
Excellent written communication skills
Key Program Components:
Internships last 8 - 12 weeks
